MediGlobe is an offline-first reference catalog for travelers. We collect no personal accounts, sell no data, and store sensitive health data exclusively on your device.

⚕️ Medical disclaimer. MediGlobe is a reference and information tool, not a medical service, not a diagnostic device, and not a substitute for a doctor or pharmacist. Information in the app (including AI answers) may contain inaccuracies and must not be your sole basis for decisions about health, intake, dosage, or combining medications.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately. Always consult a qualified professional. You use the app at your own risk — see the Terms of Use for details.

1. Who We Are

MediGlobe is an independent mobile application developed by the MediGlobe project team. The data operator and privacy contact for the project is MediGlobe ([email protected]). The operator's legal entity will be named in this policy once it is registered. The app is published on Google Play and available as a standalone Android APK.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store or transmit:

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and never leaves it:

Sensitive medical fields (blood type, allergies, chronic conditions, emergency contact) are stored in the Android Keystore — the same secure hardware-backed storage used by banking apps. This data cannot be accessed by other apps and is never transmitted over the network.

4. Third-Party Services Used

MediGlobe makes network requests to the following services when the device is online:

💠 Advertising: the free version shows banner ads via Google AdMob. AdMob uses your device's Advertising ID and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads, and shares them with Google; it may also use coarse location for ad relevance. A Premium subscription removes all ads. You can reset or limit the Advertising ID in Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).

⚠️ AI Features (symptom chat, drug interactions, abroad analog search, package scanner): When you use these features, the text you type or the photo you take is sent to Anthropic Claude API via an encrypted proxy. We do not store these queries on our servers. Anthropic may process them per their privacy policy. AI features require an active internet connection and are optional — the app works fully offline without them.

5. AI Proxy and Security

AI-powered features route requests through a Cloudflare Workers proxy operated by us. This proxy:

6. Children's Privacy

MediGlobe is designed for travelers aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from persons under 18. If you are a parent and believe your child has used AI features that transmitted data, please contact us at [email protected].

7. Your Rights and Data Deletion

Since all personal data is stored locally on your device:

8. Data Protection and Your Rights (GDPR / EEA, UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the GDPR applies to the processing of your data. Because MediGlobe works mostly offline and stores personal data on your device, the scope of processing is minimal.
